As we close out the year and celebrate Giving Tuesday, Valdes Language Services, LLC is proud to share how our work in translation, interpreting, and language access has evolved into something much deeper: a commitment to strengthening the communities we serve.
Language services play a critical role in today’s world. Whether it’s interpreting for events and conferences, translating legal or medical documents, or supporting multilingual community programs, our work is often the bridge that allows people to understand, participate, and feel seen.
And yet — as AI tools continue to expand across the language industry — the value of human connection, cultural nuance, and ethical responsibility has never been more important.
That’s why this year, we decided to take our mission a step further. After being named a finalist for the Better Business Bureau 2025 Torch Awards for Ethics, we committed to donating a portion of our profits to U.S.-based human rights organizations — and invited clients to choose the causes they cared about most.
Together, with the support of our clients, we raised $745.03 purely from project-based profit-sharing.
Our 2025 Give Back Totals
Here’s how those funds were distributed to organizations doing meaningful, justice-centered work:
Al Otro Lado – $146.00
Supporting migrants, refugees, and deportees with bi-national legal aid and advocacy.
ACLU of Southern California – $499.03
Defending civil liberties such as free speech, due process, equality, and privacy.
TransFamily Support Services – $100.00
Supporting transgender and non-binary youth and their families with free coaching, guidance, and resource navigation.
Each donation represents a client choosing professional human interpreters and translators — and, in doing so, choosing to stand for dignity, equality, and access to justice.

Bridges to Success: Opening Doors Together
This year, we formalized our partnership with Transfronterizo Institute and proudly donated $1,875 to their Scholarship Fund — our first scholarship program supporting transborder students who cross the border daily for education.
On November 13th, we co-hosted the inaugural Bridges to Success event alongside The Cultura Media, Transfronterizo Institute, and powerful community partners. The evening honored the resilience, brilliance, and ambitions of transborder youth.
