In-person interpretation services for a UC San Diego conference, successfully accommodating over 300 participants with high-quality equipment, including soundproof booths and headsets.
Interpretation services for the San Diego Tourism Authority and the Port of San Diego Portside Academy
French interpretation for the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Diego.
Spanish and American Sign Language Interpretation services for events at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and Lafayette Hotel.
And finally, we’ve provided interpretation and document translation services for local non-profits such as San Diego Community Power and Cultura Media.

Our recognition in local media and awards
Our contributions to the local community did not go unnoticed!
We were frequently invited to local media and had the honor to speak with TV, radio, and magazine hosts and be featured on publications such as CBS, KSDY, Telemundo, San Diego Business Journal, and San Diego Magazine.
Our founder, Laura, enjoyed every media opportunity to talk about the importance of having conversations and sharing stories across audiences that do not speak the same language. The very goal of Valdes Language Services, LLC is to bridge the language gap in the United States, guided by the core values of community, inclusion, integrity, and empathy.
Some of our local awards and recognitions include being a finalist for the 2025 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Awards for Ethics, a winner for the 2024 NLBWA Community-Minded Latina award, a finalist for the 2024 San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards, a finalist for the 2024 San Diego Magazine Celebrating Women Trade & Craft category, and a finalist for the 2024 Latino Leaders of Influence by San Diego Business Journal and San Diego Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The certifications we hold are the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council NMSDC MBE certification , Supplier Clearinghouse Minority Business Enterprise certification, Supplier Clearinghouse Women Business Enterprise certification, and California Department of General Services Small Business (Micro) certification.
Giving back to the San Diego community
Language is more than just communication. It’s access, opportunity, and empowerment.
That’s why we believe in giving back to the local community as well.
Laura has been a volunteer panelist for numerous San Diego events such as “Inclusive Impact: Global Diversity in Entrepreneurship”, sharing entrepreneurial knowledge and experiences.
And finally, Valdes Language Services, LLC is proud to support Cultura Media and the TransFronterizo Institute via a scholarship fund for students and discounted translation services.
